This is the best wireless presenter/pointer I have come across in ten years of consulting and presenting. The carry case protects it for travel, and the red color makes it easy to find and difficult to leave behind. All of the functions work well. I would recommend this product to anyone who does a lot of presenting and travelling.
 Great for PowerPoint, not so much as a mouse August 29, 2010

If you get this for remotely controlling your PowerPoint presentation, this is a gem. If you get this to be a remote mouse, you will be dissappointed. As a mouse the cursor can only be controlled Up, Down, Left or Right. On some remote mice I have used, it is a 360 degree control so your mouse moves a little more like a regular desktop mouse would behave. As a PowerPoint presentation device it is great! Next slide or back a slide work as it should. You can black out a presentation when you want to only speak to your audience and have the focus on the presenter, and you can start from slide 1 or end the presentation from the remote. Plus the laser pointer, while not a strong beam, seems to work well at a distance of 30 feet or less.
Our organization purchased three of these remotes. Two worked perfectly (about 15 seconds to load the drivers) usable as a mouse or PowerPoint remote. But one of the three didn't work as a mouse or PPt remote, although the laser pointer was fine... so I knew the problem was not with the batteries. I called the Satachi tech support phone number and they immediately set into process an RMA and within a week (good for Alaska) we had a new one that worked just as well as the other two. It was great support, but I was a little disappointed that while the RMA email and the lady on the phone mentioned there would be a postage paid mailer, I had to make a return label and pay for the return postage myself... not a big deal, but if you say that a postage paid mailer will be included, it should be included.
Overall I'm happy, but I can't give it a 5 star rating.

Execellent product.
Delivered on its promises.
The mouse and lazer function are excellent.
Even in the palm of a big hand it is not too small as to fumble with the commands buttons and not too big to be cumbersome.
The little pouch provided for storage and additional battery is an excellent idea.
For future improvement: a little thin wrist strap would be a welcome feature so that you would not drop it or damage it if you do drop it on the floor.

This is simply a good laser pointer if you are using it for presentations. I would recommend it to my friends. Very friendly costumer service as well. They emailed me to make sure I got it in a timely matter. They also wanted to know if I had any questions. Which I didn't, because it is a laser pointer. Really, you just point and shoot. Done.
